︎ ︎ Tale of Kieu denotes the fact that female destiny was treated as a merchant in immorality and subservience to the dominant male culture. Female now has in her hand choices and power of controlling her own destiny and thus, her personal values have been varied and complicated. Where is the image of the new Kieu in this modern context?
